The S03-1 Magnetic Marble Race Track - Standard is the basic version of an outdoor construction game in which the topic of the lesson is the basics of physics itself. The run takes shape first in the head and only then on the equipment - which is why it trains spatial imagination and planning. It stands in nurseries, schools, therapy practices and hospitals.
The track is built on an empty surface: the child puts up the first section, sets the second lower and at a different angle, then lets a marble go from the top and watches where it ends up. Where the marble fell off, one section is adjusted and the child tries again. What decides whether the track works? Gravity pulls the marble down, and the angle of each section changes its movement - cause and effect can be seen with the naked eye, without instruments. There is no single correct solution: the next group will take the marble along a completely different route and still get it to the bottom.
The marble race track stays outdoors all year round, winter included - there is no need to put it in storage for the season. The frame is steel, galvanised and powder-coated, so rain and frost leave no rust on it, and the graphics around the tracks are sealed under a UV-resistant varnish so the colours do not fade in the sun. The equipment has a declaration of conformity and a certificate from an accredited body, and its durability is backed by a warranty. The manufacturer is EduPlayground, and the marble race track is made in Poland.
The marble tests the design straight away
Testing a track takes as long as the marble's run: it either reaches the end or falls off where a gap was left between sections. The child sees the mistake on their own, without an adult's judgement, and knows which section to fix - that is how a chain of cause and effect is remembered.
The whole group builds one route
The marble race track takes several children at once, so the track is built by several pairs of hands: one lays the top section, another the middle, a third catches the marble at the bottom. The whole team can get involved in building, and the roles sort themselves out as they work.
Sight, hearing and touch at once
Setting a track is a job for the fingers: a magnet pulls it to the surface, and the hand picks the angle of descent. The marble clicks against one section after another, and the eyes follow it down. Three senses work in one game, which supports sensory integration.
What makes up the marble race track
Four elements: three make up the track, and the fourth matches the equipment's height to the group.
Wooden tracks with magnets
The magnet holds the track where the hand placed it, so the route is built without tools or screws. The same track can also be moved with a finger in the middle of play: tilt it a few degrees and the marble takes a different path.
Wooden marbles
The marble sets off from the highest section and rolls down section after section to the bottom edge. The next try starts by picking it up from the bottom. The tracks and marbles are loose parts, so the equipment is recommended for supervised sites.
Magnetic surface with graphics
The steel surface holds a magnet at any point. Each model comes in a single-sided or double-sided version. With the double-sided version, more children can use one marble race track at once, and each side can have a different graphic and a different lesson topic.
Adjustable equipment height
The height is set during installation: lower for nursery children, higher for older pupils. The setting is chosen for the group that will build routes most often - the top track has to stay within their reach.
Personalisation
Marble race track with your own sticker and frame colour
Ready-made board graphics do not always match the topic the setting is focused on. Personalisation changes how the marble race track looks: the frame, magnetic wooden tracks and marble work just as in the catalogue models.
Sticker design
Instead of one of the ready-made designs - Standard, Ecolife or Forest Stories - the board sticker has a pattern designed to order, on a theme chosen by the setting.
Colour
The colour of the frame can be adapted to order - a frequent request. The scope of the change is agreed with an adviser. Standard colour according to the product data sheet: green (RAL 6018).
Before the marble race track goes into the playground, our adviser will help you plan all the technical details. We are with you at every stage of the project, sharing our knowledge and experience so that the equipment serves children as well as possible for many years.
