S07-EB11 Educational Board with Magnetic Marble Race Track - Standard - Single-Sided
The marble race track on an outdoor educational board is a route for a marble that the child builds alone: magnetic wooden tracks are placed against a steel board and rearranged as many times as needed. A marble released from the top shows at once whether the route works. It works well in nurseries and pre-schools, schools and education centres.
It starts with an empty board: the child picks a starting point, places the first track, sets the second lower and at a different angle, and the third takes the marble to the bottom edge. Where is the physics in that? Gravity pulls the marble down, friction slows it on the gentle sections, and every degree of slope changes its speed - and you can see it with the naked eye, without instruments. There is no single correct layout, so the next group builds the route completely differently and the marble still reaches the bottom.
What happens to the board in winter? It stays where it is. The steel is protected by zinc and a powder coating, and the board's graphic is protected from above by a UV-resistant varnish - frost, rain and full sun take away neither its colour nor its legibility. The equipment comes with a declaration of conformity and a certificate from an accredited body, and its durability is backed by a warranty. The manufacturer is EduPlayground, and the board is made in Poland.
A group works at one board
The board is wide enough for several children to stand at it at once, and in the double-sided version groups work on both sides of the frame. One points, another answers, a third adds a piece - the task is solved through conversation, not in silence.
A detail you have to look for
The tasks on the board are about finding details, comparing and spotting differences. The board stays in the same place, so the child looks back at it as many times as they need - and practises concentration and careful looking along the way.
It works without a teacher too
The board stands ready: there is no need to set it up, carry it out of the classroom or put it away after lessons. Children come up to it on their own - at break, while waiting to be collected by a parent or during free play in the garden - and play whatever they see on the panel.
What makes up the marble race track
Four elements the route is made of - and which let you build it differently every time.
Magnetic wooden tracks
The track holds to the board with a magnet, so it goes on without tools and slides along with a finger, even in the middle of play. Short sections build a tight run right below each other, long ones a route across the whole width of the board.
Wooden marbles
The marble sets off from the top track and runs down one after another to the bottom edge of the board. The next run starts by picking it up from the bottom - nothing needs to be set up again, so one attempt follows another.
Steel board for the tracks
The whole surface of the board is steel, so the magnet holds at any point on it. The route has no set place: it can run diagonally across the middle, along the edge or as two tracks side by side. Removed tracks leave no mark on the board.
S03-A Set of Wooden Tracks and Marbles
The board is supplied with one set of wooden tracks and marbles - this is what turns the board into a marble race track. The pieces come off one by one, so after the lesson the route can be taken apart or left ready for the next group.
Personalisation
Board with its own graphics and colour
Ready-made panel designs do not always cover the topic your setting is working on. Personalisation does not change the board's construction or installation method, only its look and the content visible on the panel.
Board graphics
The board graphics are designed to order, on a chosen theme: an original curriculum, the setting's patron, an ecology project or a map of the local area.
Layout of content and tasks
The scope of the design, the layout of the content and the tasks to go on the board are agreed with an adviser.
Colour
The colour of the frame can be adapted to order - a frequent request. The scope of the change is agreed with an adviser. Standard colour according to the product data sheet: green (RAL 6018).
Before the board goes into the playground, our adviser will help you plan all the technical details. We are with you at every stage of the project, sharing our knowledge and experience so that the equipment serves children as well as possible for many years.
