Educational boards
The S09 Educational Board Pythagoras is a double-sided educational board for outdoor lessons. Coloured filters on one side and a magnetic surface on the other let children change the colour of the world, trace shapes and build sums from magnets. It works well in nurseries, schools, education centres and public spaces.

It all starts at a coloured filter. A child puts an eye to the red pane and the playground changes colour: the grass darkens and a friend's red sweatshirt turns lighter. Why the change? In 1666 Isaac Newton split white light with a prism and showed that white is all colours at once, and a filter does the opposite: it lets one of them through to the eye and holds back the rest. The other side belongs to Pythagoras, the Greek sage of two and a half thousand years ago, who taught that the world can be described by number and shape. On the magnetic side, that idea becomes a task: shapes to count and numbers you can move by hand.
The whole board stands up to rain, frost and sun: the steel frame is galvanised and powder-coated, and the coloured filters are made of plexiglass instead of glass, so there is nothing under a child's hand that could break. Moisture does not damage the metal surface, so the board works outdoors all year round, winter included. The manufacturer is EduPlayground, and the Pythagoras board is made in Poland and covered by a warranty.
Looking through one filter after another, a child discovers that colour lies not in the object but in the light that reaches the eye. Changing the pane changes the whole view, so the first optics lesson happens without a screen, without electricity and without a textbook.
On the magnetic side, numbers can be held in the hand: the child builds a sum, adds and takes away pieces, and writes the result alongside. A mistake is wiped off in one stroke, so trying something new costs less than in an exercise book.
The board is double-sided, so activities run on both sides at the same time: one group explores colours, the other counts with magnets. The same layout turns a lesson into a task for two teams working on it in parallel.

Coloured plexiglass panes on one side of the board, each a different colour. The same patch of playground seen through each of them in turn looks different, and the child compares what stands out more clearly through which colour and what almost disappears.
A circle, a triangle, a square and a trapezium, traced with a finger along the edge. The child names the shape aloud, counts its sides and corners, then looks for the same shape nearby: in a window, a paving stone, a bicycle wheel.
The other side of the board is metal and magnetic across its whole surface. It holds magnetic maths tasks, and an ordinary magnet pins on materials brought from the classroom: worksheets, photos, children's drawings.
You write on the metal surface with a dry-wipe marker and wipe it clean after the lesson. The board stands upright, so the child writes with a raised arm, and shoulder, wrist and fingers work together - exactly as they will later when guiding a pen.
The board's height is set with the fixing bolts in the frame. The same unit can be lowered for the youngest group and raised for older classes, so it does not need replacing when year groups change.
