The outdoor learning zone gives children something different from traditional playground equipment: it sparks creativity and activity and holds their attention. Teachers run educational classes here, as well as therapy sessions for children with special needs. The zone was funded by the Town of Biłgoraj at the head teacher's request.
In this report, head teacher Monika Piętak, a teacher, a town representative and the children talk about cooking, counting and looking for small creatures through a magnifying glass.

Traditional playground equipment is very much needed, it meets children's need to move. But I wanted to equip this space with something different, something that would spark children's creativity and activity and hold their attention. It mattered a great deal to me to create a space where our nursery's teachers could run interesting educational classes in the fresh air, as well as therapy sessions for children with special needs.
